WIMBLEDON, England—Stan Wawrinka owns two Grand Slam singles titles, having won the 2014 Australian Open and this year's French Open. But the Swiss does not believe that he is in the same company as the so-called Big 4, which includes Roger Federer (17 Grand Slam singles titles), Rafael Nadal (14), Novak Djokovic (8) and Andy Murray (2).

“There is only four guys,” the 30-year-old said. “If it's the Big 4, it's the four players. It's already taken. I don't have the same as them. I'm not as strong as them.”
Even though both Wawrinka and Murray each have two Slams, they differ greatly in overall titles won. Wawrinka has won 10, but Federer has won 86 titles, Nadal has won 66, Djokovic has won 53 and Murray has won 34.
“The Big 4, it's not what happen in this year,” said Wawrinka, who won his first-round match at Wimbledon. “It's what's happened the past 10 years. That's why they're much better than everybody.

“For me the Big 4 always mean the Big 4. They're good where they are because they did so much for the tennis and they were so strong during more than 10 years. They deserve to be the Big 4 and they will always be the Big 4. That's for me how I see it.”
