WIMBLEDON, England—After losing in the first round of Roland Garros and struggling for most of 2015, Agnieszka Radwanska has turned things around at Wimbledon, where she’s reached the quarterfinals. The 2012 Wimbledon finalist took a wild card into the grass-court tune-up event in Nottingham, where she reached the semifinals, and followed that with a runner-up finish in Eastbourne before heading to the All England Club.

“Of course losing first round is always disappointing. I wasn't happy at all,” said Radwanska about her French Open loss to TENNIS.com.“I have some days off. That was a lot of actually time that I had. That's why I also took the wild card to Nottingham, to play some more matches. Especially the grass season was a little bit longer this year.

“And I think more matches also give me more confidence. And I was feeling good from the beginning. That's why I just keep going in Eastbourne. I had a lot of good matches against top players.”

Radwanska says she she hasn't changed her strokes too much but has finally regained her confidence.
“I think right now the tennis, it's very on a high level, that every match is really tight,” Radwanska. “When you have everything 100 percent, everything is turning against you. And you are losing first tournament and then the second one. Then it's just keep going the wrong way. That's why I just turned it around these things just few weeks ago. Now everything is in a good way.”
