WIMBLEDON, England—Caroline Wozniacki, who lost in the fourth round at Wimbledon, wishes that more of women played on the bigger show courts at the All England Club. On Monday, during which all men’s and women’s round-of-16 matches were contested, women contested only three matches on Centre Court, No. 1 Court, and No. 2 Court, while the men contested six matches on those same courts.

On Centre Court, Serena Williams played Venus Williams, Andy Murray played Ivo Karlovic, and Roger Federer played Roberto Bautista Agut.
On No. 1 Court, Maria Sharapova played Zarina Diyas, Stan Wawrinka played David Goffin, and Novak Djokovic played Kevin Anderson.
On No. 2 Court, Wozniacki played Garbine Muguruza, Richard Gasquet played Nick Kyrgios, and Gilles Simon played Tomas Berdych.
“You work hard and practice to play on the big courts,” Wozniacki said. “The women really haven't gotten the opportunity here to play on the big courts. You only get one women's match on Court 1 and Centre Court. Most of last week it was only one women's match on Court 2 as well.

“It's definitely different. That's all I can say. I think a lot of us women feel like we deserve to play on the big courts in front of a big crowd, as well.”

The former No. 1, who has yet to reach at the quarterfinals at Wimbledon, says she would like to play on a different court next time around.
“I get to the fourth round quite a bit, quite often,” she said. “I just haven't managed to break through that. Court 2 hasn't been very nice to me through the years. Maybe next year I'll ask to be put on one of the small courts. I don't know. Try and mix it up a little bit.”
