NEW YORK—Madison Keys’ third-round win over Agnieszka Radwanska set up a match against Serena Williams, their second at major this season. Williams is trying to become the first player since 1988 to win all four majors in the same season.

"I think it's exciting, you know. Obviously since the draw came out that's kind of been the big talk, that it could happen," said the 20-year-old Keys. "For me to be able to put myself in that position is really big for me, so really just looking forward to it."

The two played in the semifinals of the Australian Open, with Williams winning the encounter, 7-6, 6-2. Her Grand Slam attempt has been the big story of the tournament, but Keys insisted she was undeterred by the prospect of playing spoiler.

“I mean, I'd be okay with it,” said Keys. “What am I going to say, [that] I want her to beat me? I mean, yeah. I want to go out and I want to win. I mean, obviously it's a big story.

"That's great, but at the same time I want to win."

The No. 19 played her second-round match on Arthur Ashe Stadium, where her match with Williams will take place, giving her some experience on the tournament's biggest court.

"I think just being able to practice out there, just even that one time before my match, had me a little bit more comfortable. I mean, it's a big stadium. You know, you kind of just had to get used to the feel, how far back, you know, the stands start and everything," she said.
