PRAGUE (AP) -- French Open finalist Lucie Safarova has been hospitalized in the Czech Republic with an unspecified infectious disease, and it's not clear when she may recover.

Safarova posted a message with a photo from the hospital in Brno on Facebook on Wednesday: ''It's been really hard month for me. Injury and now fighting bacteria infection in hospital!''

Safarova has already qualified for the WTA Finals in Singapore in doubles with Bethanie Mattek-Sands, for winning the Australian and French Opens, and stands a good chance to qualify in singles having reached world No. 5.

She also hopes to lead the Czech Republic in the Fed Cup final against Russia in November.
