Hot off her unlikely and dazzling U.S. Open championship in New York, Flavia Pennetta took to her homeland for Milan Fashion Week. She sat front row at the show for Salvatore Ferragamo on Sunday, a brand she has historically adored and been dressed in at times, receiving a round of applause said to be spontaneous and extended.

It was Day 5 of Milan Fashion Week, in fact, and a sign that Pennetta's star wattage isn't dimming any time soon. The 33-year-old, who shocked everyone when she revealed at the trophy presentation in Queens that she will retire at the end of the WTA season, played the part of Lady in Red to the hilt in a lace dress and knit cape-meets-shawl piece.

Fiance Fabio Fognini joined her to boot, with the two flashing winsome grins, as well they should.

Got thoughts on Pennetta's MFW look? I'm all eyes. Eyes that have popped out of my head, that is, at the sheer radiance she's exuding. Once again, good on you, Pennetta.
