Frances Tiafoe apologized to opponent Eric Quigley for his poor behavior during their second-round match at the ATP Challenger in Champaign, IL.

The 17-year-old fell 6-3, 6-7(3), 6-4 to Quigley after defeating fifth-seeded Alejandro Falla in the first round.

After being broken in the third set, Tiafoe shattered his racket so thoroughly that officials needed a dustbuster to clean up the pieces, reported ZooTennis.com.

Quigley responded on Twitter, to which Tiafoe reiterated his remorse.

Tiafoe is ranked a career-high No. 182 following his run to the final at the Knoxville Challenger a week ago.
