Andy Roddick: Andre Agassi

Andre Agassi is a hero to me. He was someone who was very instrumental to my career early on. He never preached to me, but he always made it known that he was available for any questions.

We always saw him on the court, but there were a lot of different facets to Andre. I was lucky enough to spend a lot of practice weeks with him, and to get a look behind the curtain.

He's had a very fascinating life, and he was always able to juggle so much. He would head off the court taking phone calls for his foundation, then go to another business meeting, and then come back on the court to practice. By juggling everything so well, he taught me how to handle my tennis career, on and off the court, and inspired me to start my foundation, The Andy Roddick Foundation, at an early age.
