Bob and Mike Bryan have become the first doubles team to record 1,000 victories on the ATP tour, reaching the record-setting figure with a win in the quarterfinals in Vienna.

The Bryans defeated Pablo Cuevas and Viktor Troicki, and were given a special presentation on court.

"We have been looking at this number, 1,000 for a couple of years,” Bob told the crowd, “and it's been a big goal for us.”

Roger Federer picked up his 1,000th win in January of 2015, and his 1,080 wins are the second most in ATP singles history behind Jimmy Connors’ 1,256. But the Bryans have almost twice as many victories together as Mark Woodforde and Todd Woodbridge, the next-highest doubles pairing. Woodforde and Woodbridge, who were the Bryans’ childhood role models, won 508 matches.

The Bryans hold most of the significant records for a men's doubles team, including most weeks at No. 1 and most Grand Slam titles.
