Elina Svitolina says she will be coached by Gabriel Urpi and Thierry Ascione, following the 22-year-old's recent announcement that she was changing her team despite reaching a career-high ranking this season.
Svitolina had previously been coached by Iain Hughes, and occasionally also worked with former No. 1 Justine Henin as a consultant.
She will now be coached full-time by Urpi—a veteran WTA coach who most recently worked with Flavia Pennetta— and Ascione will serve as a consultant. She also has a new hitting partner, Andrew Bettles. Her fitness trainer is unchanged.
