Milos Raonic, recovering from a hamstring injury, is not playing this week’s Masters event in Indian Wells.

The world No. 4 was unable to play the Delray Beach Open final against Jack Sock on Feb. 26, and subsequently pulled out of the following week’s event in Acapulco.

The Canadian, who reached the Indian Wells final last year before losing to Novak Djokovic, is 10-2 on the season. He made it to the semifinals in Brisbane and the quarterfinals in Melbourne before advancing to the Delray final.

Raonic hasn’t given any indication as to whether he’ll be ready for the Miami Open, which kicks off on March 22.

Richard Gasquet has also withdrawn from the BNP Paribas Open after undergoing an appendicitis operation.

The Frenchman will also be on the shelf for the Miami Open.

Gasquet, ranked 19th, has already played four tournaments in 2017, in addition to the Davis Cup. He went 10-4 in the season’s first two months, the highlight being a final showing in Montpellier.

Andy Murray, Novak Djokovic, Stan Wawrinka and Kei Nishikori are the top four seeds at the year’s first Masters event.
