It will be an all teenage rumble in South Carolina as 19-year-olds Jelena Ostapenko and Daria Kasatkina will be fighting for the Volvo Car Open title on Sunday, their first final of the year.

After defeating former world No. 1 Caroline Wozniacki in the quarterfinals, Ostapenko came back to take the semis against Mirjana Lucic-Baroni, overcoming the Croatian in three sets, taking the decider at 6-4. This is the first final in Charleston for the Latvian.

Kasatkina had to also battle back from a set down after losing the first to Laura Siegemund, 3-6. However, she then found her game and went on an absolute tear, losing only three games to take the rest of the match at 6-2, 6-1. This is the first singles WTA final for the Russian.
