Sloane Stephens has not played since the Rio Olympics, but Connecticut Open tournament director Anne Worcester confirmed on Tuesday that the American has received a wild card for the August 18 event. Despite being sidelined with a foot injury, Stephens has been watching closer than ever, working as a reporter for the Tennis Channel.
