The second round at Roland Garros got underway on Wednesday in Paris, and Rafael Nadal, the men’s presumptive favorite, looked every bit the part.

The nine-time champion improved to a perfect 6-0 in sets this week with a commanding 6-1, 6-4, 6-3 win over Robin Haase in a match that lasted less than two hours. The Spaniard, looking to become the first player in Open era history to win 10 titles at a Grand Slam, hit 33 winners in the routine win. He’ll play unseeded Nikoloz Basilashvili next.

The most impressive performance of the day, though, belonged to Caroline Wozniacki. The Dane handed out two bagels in her second-round match, ousting Canadian Francoise Abanda, 6-0, 6-0. In what should be a fascinating matchup, the 11th seed will take on American teenager CiCi Bellis for a spot in the fourth round. Bellis, 18, upset 18th seed Kiki Bertens, 6-3, 7-6 (5), on Wednesday.

In other action, fifth-seeded Milos Raonic rebounded from a slow start to overcome Brazilian Rogerio Dutra Silva, 4-6, 6-2, 6-3, 6-4. The Canadian had 25 aces in the win, four of which came in his final service game.

Sixth-seeded Dominic Thiem, 10th-seeded David Goffin and 11th-seeded Grigor Dimitrov also won to move into the third round.

Late in the day, another top women’s seed was the victim of an early exit. Sixth-seeded Dominika Cibulkova joined Angelique Kerber and Johanna Konta on the sidelines with a stunning 6-4, 6-3 loss to lucky loser Ons Jabeur. The 22-year-old Tunisian came into the tournament ranked 114th.
