David Goffin, who suffered an ankle injury at the French Open, plans to return for Wimbledon.

The Belgian rolled his ankle when his foot slid into the tarp at the back of the stadium court during a third-round match in Paris, forcing him to retire.

"Today, we know that a recovery break of two weeks is necessary, and we hope for a return at Wimbledon," said a statement from his team, adding that they would not confirm his schedule until a further ultrasound this week.

Goffin is No. 12 in the rankings.
