John Isner says he's frustrated by his semifinal defeat at the Paris Masters, which meant he will not qualify for the ATP Tour Finals or finish the season within the top 10 in the rankings.

Isner defeated Juan del Potro in the quarterfinals before falling to qualifier Filip Krajinovic in a third-set tiebreak.

"He played a great match, hats off to him," Isner told press at Paris. "I'm very disappointed not to go to London. I had the opportunity to do some things here I've never done before, finish in something like top 10 in the world. I think I have now finished 11th or 19 in the world eight-ish consecutive years. It's good, it's consistent, but there's nothing better than that."

Winning the tournament would have qualified Isner for the eight-player field at the ATP Tour Finals.
