Rafael Nadal's knee injury has not deteriorated significantly, according to his doctor.

Nadal withdrew from Paris with the injury and returned to Spain for more scans in Barcelona. The No. 1 is experiencing a tendon problem that is similar to his previous event, Shanghai.

"It is not a new injury or an injury that has been aggravated," Angel Ruiz Cotorro, his doctor, told El Espanol. "It's not different from Asia."

Nadal has not yet confirmed whether he will be participating at the ATP Tour Finals.
