Svetlana Kuznetsova has undergone minor surgery on her wrist, announcing that she should be fit to play again when the season resumes.

The 32-year-old Russian said the injury had been bothering her for a few months.

"I had to do a small surgery in my left wrist," she wrote on Instagram, adding that she should be ''completely ok…in few weeks."

Kuznetsova was in the Top 10 for most of the season but is 1-3 in matches played since Cincinnati, and withdrew from Moscow with the injury.
