INDIAN WELLS — Naomi Osaka ripped through her second big scalp of the week in taking out Agnieszka Radwanska, 6-3, 6-2. The big-hitting 20-year-old is right at home on the slow hard-courts of the desert, just like another star with a big game, CoCo Vandeweghe.

The Californian began her campaign with a solid 6-0, 7-6 (6) win over the dangerous Kaia Kanepi. Vandeweghe has won the doubles crown at the BNP Paribas Open in the past (in 2016 with Bethanie Mattek-Sands), so she's certainly familiar with success here.

Vandeweghe next takes on Maria Sakkari, while Osaka will face dark horse Sachia Vickery.
