Wednesday night at the Miami Open will see Venus Williams take the court against an unfamiliar opponent in world No. 93 Danielle Collins.

Collins, a 2016 University of Virginia graduate and two-time NCAA singles champion, has broken through this season in the pros. After winning her first WTA 125K title in Newport, CA, the 24-year-old reached the fourth round at Indian Wells. One week later, at another WTA Premier Mandatory tournament, she's into the quarterfinals of Miami.

In recent weeks, Collins has scored wins over the likes of Madison Keys, CoCo Vandeweghe and Monica Puig. She's riding a serious hot streak, while Williams is busy seeking her first title in over two years.

The men's night match features Indian Wells champion Juan Martin del Potro against Milos Raonic. They'll meet for the second time in two weeks, with del Potro dispatching the Canadian in the Indian Wells semifinals. Their career head-to-head history is locked at 2-all.

Raonic is on the comeback trail from injuries and a drop outside the Top 40, while del Potro, with a great shot to complete the Sunshine Double, is on a 14-match win streak.

"I already won two tournaments in a row. Could be great if I win the third one," del Potro said. "But if not, I will have a good vacation at home, and I'm waiting for that, too."
