If you were watching the Australian Open in January, you might remember actor Will Ferrell showing up and interviewing Roger Federer after the world No. 1's victory over Aljaz Bedene.

While it looked like it might have just been a random appearance, it's clear that Ferrell has a knack for finding the camera at tennis tournaments.

The actor, who is mostly known for his roles in Anchorman, Old SchoolStep Brothers and Elf, was at the BNP Paribas Open on Wednesday, and he ended up doing some commentary on Tennis Channel with Mary Carillo and Jim Courier.

And who was playing when Ferrell showed up in the booth? None other than Federer. Check out the footage below, as Ferrell was cracking up everybody around him:

The comedian was having some fun pretending to be the world's biggest Jeremy Chardy fan, but it's pretty clear that Federer is actually one of his favorite players.

Not only has he been caught watching multiple Federer matches this year, but he also seemed to know quite a bit about the 20-time Grand Slam champion. Ferrell specifically noted how special it is to watch a player like Federer move on the court. The actor also helped Carillo and Courier read some graphics, which was somewhat hilarious on its own.

Hopefully this isn't the last we see of Ferrell during the 2018 season. Based on how much Federer is winning, he'll have plenty of other opportunities for a cameo.
