Bjorn Borg is one of the greatest players in tennis history, having amassed 64 titles during his illustrious career.

In 1974, the Swede won his first Grand Slam singles title at the French Open at the age of 18, and managed to rack up a total of 11 Major singles titles.

While he performed well on all surfaces (he reached the finals of the US Open four times), Borg won six of his 11 Slams at the French Open between 1974 and 1971. He dominated the grass season between 1976 and 1980, winning five consecutive Wimbledon titles. He was unable, however, to capture his sixth after losing in the final to John McEnroe, the player he defeated in the final the previous year.

Due to his overwhelming success at the French Open and Wimbledon, the former No. 1 became one of the Open Era’s first tennis icons.
