Before the launch of Tennis Channel, tennis coverage on television was very limited as there were no networks solely dedicated to tennis. The sport’s fans had to rely on major networks, which only covered big matches sparingly. Then, the arrival of Tennis Channel in May of 2003 changed the way tennis was watched on television as it gave viewers round-the-clock coverage.

Tennis Channel didn’t only air comprehensive live coverage. It also provided tennis-related content, such as documentaries, instructional videos, interviews, behind-the-scenes footage, and lifestyle. It gave fans a closer look into the lives of their favorite players. As the network grew, more and more people were able to access it. It became the United States rights holder for Roland Garros, the second Grand Slam of the season.

In 2014, the network launched Tennis Channel Plus, an annual digital subscription that gave viewers all-access pass to premium content. The app included live streaming and On-Demand viewing library, created to complement the linear sports channel.

Earlier this year, Tennis Channel launched its new app, Tennis Channel Everywhere, to give fans one-of-a-kind streaming experience.
