DOHA—World No. 6 Angelique Kerber returns to Qatar for her first event since leaving Melbourne. She's certainly got the veteran edge as she's making her tenth trip to the small Arab nation.

The 31-year-old has put her lopsided loss to Danielle Collins in the fourth round of the Australian Open far behind her as she looks to enjoy her time in Doha.

"Every year I'm really excited to come back because new buildings are here. They are building so much and the people are nice," Kerber said. "For me, it's always great to do something different, sometimes I'm doing a few things twice."

The German is the No. 3 seed in the WTA Premier draw.
