A big talent representation agency, CAA, has apparently exited tennis. According to Sportsbusiness Journal, CAA Sports shut down its tennis department at the beginning of the year.

"There was not a sufficient opportunity for us in the representation of tennis players, and as such, we made a strategic decision to exit the business," CAA was quoted as telling Sportsbusiness Journal in a statement.

The agency represented Marin Cilic, Taylor Fritz, Eugenie Bouchard and Coco Vandeweghe, among others, and previously also had names like Novak Djokovic, Andy Murray and Milos Raonic as clients. It started its tennis department in 2008 by acquiring the business of established tennis agent Amit Naor, but, again according to Sportstbusiness Journal, Naor was fired in 2018 amid sexual harassment claims.

It also said that a former CAA agent is now representing Cilic, Fritz and Ryan Harrison.
