After an impressive performance at Roland Garros, given his lack of match play this season and suspect physical condition, Juan Martin del Potro is ready to blast his way through the grass-court season. When healthy, the Argentine is lethal on any surface.

“I am adapting really well (to the grass). If I have to run or jump or fly, I will do it,” Del Potro told Prakash Amritraj about making the transition from clay to grass. “I had great results in the past on grass; this year I am looking forward to more of the same.”

Del Potro owns a 39-17 career record on the slippery surface, which rewards his big serve and crushing flat forehand. Despite playing just eleven total matches in 2019, Del Potro is the oddsmakers' sixth favorite to win the Wimbledon trophy, a testament to his reputation and all-surface ability.

“I’m feeling good, my knee is OK at the moment, it’s time to play and see how my body does.”
