NEW YORK—Louis Armstrong Stadium was a house of horrors for top women's seeds on Sunday, with the No. 2 and No. 3 seeds losing their fourth-round matches on the US Open's second show court.

Ashleigh Barty began the day with a 6-2, 6-4 loss to No. 18 seed Wang Qiang; afterward, Karolina Pliskova, the No. 3 seed, fell to 16th-seeded Johanna Konta, 6-7 (1), 6-3, 7-5.
