"Rafael Nadal-- While I'm loathe to agree with Djokovic that Federer's reign will end at Wimbledon this year -- Djoker, of course, has a vested interest in saying such things -- I think he's right. But it won't be the Serb who holds the trophy. That honor will go to the hottest player on tour, Rafael Nadal, who followed up his win in Paris with a win at Queen's Club. If Nadal can get through the early rounds, where he could be ambushed by some big servers, he should go all the way. If he faces Federer in the final, well, I think Nadal has such a mental edge over Roger that Rafa will prevail."
"Ana Ivanovic-- Will Ivanovic's Grand Slam breakthrough in Paris give her the confidence to win Wimbledon? Time will tell, but we can say for sure that none of the other top players appear to be in much of a groove lately, and many continue to struggle with nagging injuries. People might pay more attention to Maria Sharapova or Serena Williams, proven champions with big shots, but it's Ivanovic who stands apart from the competition for her ambition, desire and focus to be the best. That should see her through at the All England Club.
Tom Perrotta, Senior Editor
"Roger Federer-- This year's men's tournament is a toss up--yesterday I would have picked Rafael Nadal, tomorrow I might pick Novak Djokovic or even Andy Roddick, who has a good draw. But today, I'll pick Federer to win his sixth title by the slimmest of margins. The pressure is on this year and the road to a title is tougher than ever, but Federer has shown in the past that he knows how to win when he absolutely must. Federer played his best Wimbledon match in last year's final; that ought to be more on his mind than his lopsided loss to Rafael Nadal in Paris. His potential semifinal against Djokovic, who continues to talk a big game, could be spectacular."
"Serena Williams--It's been five years since Serena won a Wimbledon title. The time has come to end the drought. Serena should have extra motivation after her disappointing performance at the French Open. She has a favorable draw, too, at least until a possible semifinal meeting with top seed Ana Ivanovic. Bonus pick: Serena will play her sister in the final."

"Rafael Nadal-- He’s on a roll and has the mental edge of everyone right now."
"Venus Williams--This is her time to dial it in; why not make it a fifth title?"
Peter Bodo, Senior Editor
"Andy Roddick-- He's been laying low because of a minor shoulder injury, but after two-hard luck losses he'll be back on track at Wimbledon. People forget how effective his game can be on grass."
"Serena Williams--While Ana Ivanovic takes a breather to enjoy the fruits of her first major, Serena steps up to make one of her big, occasional statements."
David Rosenberg, Photo Editor
"Rafael Nadal-- Maybe some trouble with Roddick in his half but will keep his Spring momentum and win his first Wimbledon."
"Venus Williams--As long as she stays healthy, no one can beat Venus at Wimbledon."
Sarah Unke, Associate Editor
"Rafael Nadal-- It's surprising how easy it is to bet against Roger Federer at Wimbledon this year. But with Nadal high on confidence after winning Roland Garros and his first grass title directly after (against Novak Djokovic, no less), and the prospect of Federer facing Djokovic in the semis, this may not be Fed's year. After two straight years in the final, Nadal can win this thing."
"Ana Ivanovic-- It's funny to see her name at the top of the draw for a Grand Slam. But there it is, Ana Ivanovic, the women's new No. 1. Can she win two straight Slams? I think so. Will she? Who knows? The women's draw is wide open, with former winners like four-time champion Venus Williams, Maria Sharapova, and Serena Williams. And don't forget Jelena Jankovic and Svetlana Kuznetsova. But I'm sticking with the name on top."
Sarah Thurmond, Associate Editor
"Rafael Nadal-- I'm going to side with Bjorn Borg on this one. Yes, Roger Federer has that great grass-court streak going for him, but Nadal is just playing with too much confidence to stop him from capturing the championship he so dearly wants. Darkhorse: I had a dream that Tomas Berdych won the title (no joke). This guy's results improve here every year, so why not?"
"Venus Williams-- I took a very scientific approach with this pick. I used the Randomizer (randomizer.org), which randomly sorts numbers with the click of a button. First number that popped out was 3, which is Maria Sharapova's seed in the draw. If she's makes it all the way to the semis, she'll most likely face Venus Williams, the defending champion who has twice beaten the Russian at Wimbledon. So, I'm going against the Randomizer (I know, a brave decision) and picking Venus. Her record is too great to just randomly dismiss."
