WatchesThese watches will keep you up to speed on and off the court.

By Jon Levey

Tag Heuer Professional Sports
The pink version of this watch was made with brand ambassador Maria Sharapova in mind, but the anthracite model is a good choice for men. The square face consists of stainless steel and ultra-light titanium that can absorb the pounding your arm takes on those roundhouse forehands. The elastic silicon band moves with you during play but it’s a bit long, so you may have to cut it to prevent slippage and ensure a precise fit.

Rolex Oyster Perpetual Lady Yacht-Master
The watch worn by world No. 1 Justine Henin has an 18-karat-gold and stainless-steel bracelet and case contrasted against a gray dial. It also has a rotating time-lapse gold bezel so you can time how long you’ve been playing. It’s sporty enough for the court and elegant enough to wear out at night.

Citizen Eco-Drive Men’s Perpetual Calendar
If you like your watches hassle-free, the Perpetual Calendar will serve you well. The calendar automatically adjusts to the proper date, even in leap years. Plus, it’s mostly solar-powered so you don’t have to worry about changing the battery.

Longines HydroConquest Ladies Diamond
As the name suggests, this women’s watch is meant for serious aquatic activity, so don’t worry if you get caught in a rain delay. The stainless-steel bracelet with a double safety-folding clasp will also help the watch stand up to the rigors of competition. Still, the unidirectional bezel filled with 30 diamonds makes for an attractive and feminine look.

Swatch Unconsciousness
A bracelet and case made of aluminum make this unisex watch extremely light on the wrist. That’s good news for tennis players, who don’t need to be weighed down. The light brown dial has three subdials that can measure minutes, seconds, and tenths of seconds if you’re a stickler for the 25-second rule.
$155, www.swatch.com

Omega Men’s Speedmaster “Legend”
Inspired by Formula One racing legend Michael Schumacher, the “Legend” has three small dials on the face that help determine how fast you’re driving. That’s not going to do much good on a tennis court, but it does give the watch an athletic look. It also fi ts well—thanks to a stainless-steel clasp, the length of  the rubber strap that can be shortened or extended.
$5,400, www.omegawatches.com
