The Dunlop 200G 100 is a "tweener" racquet: It's designed for the player who falls somewhere between intermediate and advanced. Dunlop geared this stick for people who enjoyed the 200G 95 but found its very heavy weight (almost 12.5 ounces) and small sweet spot too difficult to handle. By contrast, the new oversize is a half-inch longer and about a half-ounce lighter. The result is more power and a slightly bigger sweet spot, without sacrificing a lot of control. "I could hit my passing shots with accuracy, and when I missed the sweet spot, the racquet didn't feel harsh," said a 4.0 serve-and-volleyer. Testers also noted that the racquet was very steady on off-center hits. All in all, while the 200G is more forgiving than its predecessor, it still requires a fairly long swing if you really want to jam.

BOTTOM LINE
A smart pick for advanced intermediates.
