HOW IT TESTED
Like the other members of its family, the Airfl ow 1 is lightweight andhas an ergonomic grip—it’s thin at the top and gradually becomes thicker toward the bottom—that’s tailored for a woman’s hand. What separates this one from the others is that it has the most weight, smallest head size, and least amount of power, which means it’s meant for better players looking for control. The extra weight adds stability, plus the head-heavy balance makes the Airfl ow 1 play and feel more substantial than it is. Yet, compared to your typical player’s racquet, the Airfl ow 1 is very light and extremely maneuverable. It has some power, but it takes a decent swing to produce it, particularly on the serve, where some testers wanted even more pop. The Airfl ow 1 is also very stiff, which contributed to a lack of feel and comfort for some players.

BOTTOM LINE
It could be more forgiving, but it’s still a good option for advanced women who want a lightweight frame.
