FIRST TAKE:
Speed kills. If you can get to more balls, you’ll be in a better position to hit a good shot. Diadora’s ultralight shoe is dedicated to that mission.

HOW IT TESTED:
With the Speedzone, you’ll feel as if you can outrun anyone; in fact, the men’s version is the lightest men’s shoe we’ve reviewed in years. You’ll also appreciate the shoe’s breathability. A perforated insole and an arch-support piece with holes punched into it ensure that your feet won’t get hot and bothered. But in making such a lightweight shoe, Diadora used less cushioning in the midsole and fewer support features in the upper, among other things. So if you prioritize stability or have a high arch and require extra padding, look elsewhere.

BOTTOM LINE:
It might not be the most supportive shoe, but it’s the lightest of the season.
