FIRST TAKE:
With this classically styled shoe, New Balance plays to its well-known strength, comfort.

HOW IT TESTED:
Thanks to a foam midsole and shock-absorbing material in the heel and forefoot, the CT/WCT802 has enough cushioning that you can wear it all day—well, if not for the fact that the ventilation is poor. The shoe is also available in different widths (the standard D, plus B, 2A, 2E, and 4E), accommodating virtually all foot sizes. Granted, advanced players might not be as low to the ground as they’d prefer, but the CT/WCT802 doesn’t have so much cushioning underfoot that it gets tipsy on sharp turns. In fact, the shoe is reinforced with graphite along both sides of the foot to help prevent you from turning an ankle.

BOTTOM LINE:
Your feet can get hot, but no complaints about the cushioning and fit.
