FINAL ANALYSIS:
This offering from Nike has all the characteristics you’d expect in a serious player’s shoe. Air Max in the heel provides shock absorption, and the thinner Zoom Air in the forefoot gives moderate cushioning while keeping your foot close to the ground for enhanced responsiveness. The tongueless construction is well-cushioned, and the soft plastic cage around the midfoot provides stability without being rigid. The front of the shoe has plenty of protection for toe-draggers. Our weartesters liked the Breathe Cage, but its performance features didn’t impress them quite as much as they did us.
