SALES PITCH:
An innovative concept shoe with a replaceable outsole that emphasizes style and durability.

HOW IT TESTED:
Many players wear their shoes out on the outsole. The Nike Air Zoom Revive is made with these people in mind, as it comes with two pairs of removable outsoles that snap firmly into place. You can wait until one pair is trashed, or alternate between the two for different surfaces, since they work on any court. It’s an expensive shoe, and especially heavy on the men’s side, but you’re practically getting two for the price of one. This Nike doesn’t have much cushioning, but it keeps you low to the ground (which means greater stability when you’re moving laterally). Male playtesters liked the Revive, but some women found the fit too narrow.

BOTTOM LINE:
If you burn through your soles, the Revive may be the solution to your problems.
