SALES PITCH:
A breathable shoe designed to have a balance of light weight, solid support, and comfort features; it’s worn by the world’s No. 1 player, Amelie Mauresmo.

HOW IT TESTED:
With an open-weave mesh upper, a ventilated shank, and Playdry lining to wick away moisture, the Reebok Match Point does plenty to keep your feet cool and comfortable. And the heel has DMX Shear, a cushioning system that allows part of the shoe to move independently, softening impact. There are also three punch-outs on one side of the outsole underneath the heel to bring the weight down a bit and absorb shock. During playtesting the Match Point gripped well on both clay and hard courts and provided nice support during quick stop-and-go movements.

BOTTOM LINE:
A solid all-around shoe with an emphasis on comfort.
