FIRST TAKE:
If you’re a frequent player who burns rubber faster than Jeff Gordon, Reebok wants this to be your go-to shoe.

HOW IT TESTED:
The Upset DMX comes with a six-month outsole guarantee; wear through the sole and the company will send you a new pair. The shoe’s other main selling point is ventilation. Mesh inserts in the upper, combined with a perforated insole and an outsole with vents in the arch, give you ample breathing room. On quick stops and starts, however, the Upset DMX didn’t offer testers who compete at a high level enough side-to-side stability. The shoe is not exactly light, either, though it bears mentioning that testers who’ve worn Reebok in the past few seasons said this one was by far the most comfortable.

BOTTOM LINE:
It’s reasonably priced and comfortable, though the stability probably won’t satisfy elite players.
