FINAL ANALYSIS:
An upper made up almost entirely of mesh makes the Wilson Open an exceedingly soft, light, and breathable shoe. The support in the midfoot and forefoot comes from plastic stability straps that are integrated with the laces. The toe box is wide, which is good for players with hammertoes or bunions. The outsole also wraps around the toe box, making it perfect for toe-draggers. Ethyl vinyl acetate with cutouts replaces some of the rubber on the outsole, which might not wear as well but helps keep the weight down and ventilation up. Nice touch: The heel has an adjustable draw cord that can be tightened for a snugger fit.
