Final Analysis
Just like its predecessor, this update to the Open is hard to beat in terms of being light on the feet and well-ventilated. The soft synthetic upper is almost completely perforated which makes the shoe exceptionally breathable. A TPU (hard plastic) Arch Bridge and Stable Strap along the midfoot provide good support particularly in lateral movement. The Stable Strap replaces and is more comfortable than the floating plastic cage of the previous Open, which could be a little irritating on the foot when the shoe was worn tightly. The well-protected toe box should provide defense against toe dragging, and is quite roomy for players who have foot pathology or wide feet. Cutouts in the outsole help keep the weight down, and the tackiness in that area of the shoe is good for gripping a hard court.
