The FeetThe Importance of the Feet in Tennis:

What is the role of the feet in tennis?
The feet are integral to your balance and movement while playing tennis.

How should you train them to improve your game?
You should include agility exercises, such as jumprope, in your training regimen. Stretching exercises are also extremely important. One of the most important elements to proper training, as far as feet are concerned, is shoe wear. Replace old shoes to prevent foot problems.

What are the most common injuries?
Plantor Fascitis: Irritation of the tissue which extends from the heel to the ball of the foot.
Prevention: Warming up and stretching prior to workouts.
Treatment: Physical therapy, including stretching and anti-inflammatories.
