Serena Williams' shoe game debuted on *Vogue*'s Facebook Live platforma few days back. Appearing at the opening of the new Nike store in New York's SoHo neighborhood, Williams joined Vogue.com's senior fashion writer Marjon Carlos for a foray around the new store. And it's a big one: Says the alliteration aficionado Serena, "Five floors of fun—if you can get that out."

Williams didn't offer oodles of revealing moments over the course of the nearly-15-minute clip, but she did come to entertain, as is her wont. Here's a rundown of the best snackable moments from the video:

1

Serena just got rid of 200 pairs of shoes, namely sneakers. By the by, she accumulates them largely due to all her tennis and training—and donates them to charity.

2

She currently favors the shoes she's wearing in the Facebook Live clip, her (deep breath) Nike Lunar Force 1 Flyknit Workboots.

3

There's a special place in her footwear-loving heart for her Air Force One kicks. (Yes, cue the Nelly track.)

4

As GOAT shoes go for this arguable GOAT player, she relishes a special pair of Jordans she has from Nike, dating to 12 years ago. She has washed them several times.

5

She won't pretend to have more of a philosophy on shoes than she does. "Honestly, truly, I am not a shoe designer, which is weird because I love shoes," she says." Her Nike team gets she what calls "free reign. That's the only thing I let go."

6

When it comes to her mantra for on-court wear, well, it's not that deep. "For me, I just look for something that I can look really cute in," she says.

7

Her latest Serena Signature Statement designs are inspired by athletes. In her own words, she's also influenced by pop culture.

8

She won't reveal much about her bona fide training regimen, but she will say this about getting back into the workout habit: "It's intense once I started. Once I start, something clicks in my mind. And it's like, hmm. I just see my opponents in my head, and it's just like this 'Eye of the Tiger' moment." (Go ahead. You know 228 million viewers can't be wrong.)

9

Despite some health setbacks she's faced when wearing them, including cuts to her foot in 2010, Serena remains a hardened fan of heels. For one, she's glad to let them help her pass the 6-feet-tall mark. "I feel like I can get those extra few inches that a lot of them can't get," she says about other women, especially her fellow athletes.

During the Facebook Live Q&A with Vogue, Serena answers a couple queries from real-time viewers. In the mix, in a clip recorded two days after U.S. elections that made Donald Trump president-elect, she lends advice to fellow women who might face tough times: "You can't be defeated, and every experience makes you."

Truisms such as that can carry one through life. And if you're Serena Williams, you can literally bank on them.
