With Caroline Wozniacki retiring at the Australian Open, Denmark quickly missed having its very own tennis star. The Danes didn't have to wait long as teenager Clara Tauson was ready to spring from the wings.

At her Grand Slam debut in Paris, the youngster qualified and knocked out Jennifer Brady, 6-4 3-6 9-7, to reach the second round.

She plays with a game style quite opposite to Wozniacki with flat, powerful strokes from both wings.
