Baseline is looking ahead to the new year by showcasing 21 players under 21 to watch out for in '21. To make the coveted list, players must be born in 2000 or later.

In just his third season since he turned pro, Felix Auger-Aliassime gave himself a handful of chances to claim his first ATP title.

'FAA' started the year solid, with a semifinal showing in Adelaide and back-to-back final round appearances in Rotterdam and Marseille. The all-court player also reached his sixth career final towards the end of the shortened season at Cologne 1. For the Canadian, it's not if, but when he will break through the task of claiming his first title.

Ranking: 21

Age: 20 (August, 8, 2000)

What he did in 2020: In just his second tournament playing alongside Hubert Hurkacz, the doubles tandem saved five match points in defeating US Open champions Bruno Soares and Mate Pavic to win the Rolex Paris Masters. Auger-Aliassime also reached the round of 16 at a major for the first time in New York, falling to eventual US Open champion Dominic Thiem.

Skill highlights: Auger-Aliassime is an all-court player, with an ability to dictate points from both wings thanks to his power. He is also a player that can change the pace by switching to heavier topspin or using his slice to catch his opponents off guard.

Career highlights: He is one of only seven players to win a Challenger title by age 16, and he also captured the US Open boys' title in 2016. The 20-year-old is also the youngest player ranked inside the Top 25 and is 62-52 in tour-level matches, highlighted by six runner-up finishes.
