The 2023 tennis season is just about over and things are getting silly.

Ajla Tomljanovic went viral over the weekend, less for her title run at the MundoTennis Open and more for the fabulous trophy she received.

“Best trophy of 2023? 🐱🏆” asks UTR Sports.

“Love this trophy,” raves friend and countrywoman Daria Saville.

“I need the backstory,” demands Queen of Tennis Media Blair Henley.

surgery sidelined her for the first eight months of the year, but things are looking up for the Aussie in Florianopolis after she won the biggest title of her career at the WTA 125K tournament.

“Wholesome week in Brazil,” Tomljanovic wrote on Instagram after defeating Martina Capurro Taborda in straight sets on Sunday. “What a joy to finish such a challenging year with a moment like this. Thank you, Brazil, for making me feel so loved☺️”

News of Tomljanovic’s victory came alongside pictures of the 30-year-old with an equally wholesome trophy, one depicting a blue cat leaning on a tennis racquet.

“Thank you @jotape_artist for making such a cool trophy,” added Tomljanovic, who famously sent Serena Williams into retirement at the 2022 US Open.
