He asked, she said yes!

Alejandro Davidovich Fokina and his girlfriend Paloma Amatiste are getting hitched, after the 24-year-old Spaniard proposed at the base of Rome's famed Trevi Fountain.

Tourists flock to the fountain each year in the Eternal City, where legend says that if you toss a coin over your shoulder means that you'll return to Rome and find love. The fable fittingly played a role in Davidovich Fokina's proposal: The couple tossed a coin into the fountain together, after which Davidovich Fokina got down on one knee and popped the question.

"Per sempre," he wrote in a post announcing their engagement, in Amatiste's native Italian alongside a diamond ring emoji. The phrase translates to "forever."

Davidovich Fokina's post was met with congratulatory messages from a host of fellow players, including Novak Djokovic, Arthur Fils, Lorenzo Musetti, Bernarda Pera and his fellow Spaniards Carlos Alcaraz, Paula Badosa and David Ferrer.

"Congratulations guys, too beautiful," Musetti wrote, while Djokovic served up nearly a dozen celebratory emojis in his comment.

Amatiste has been a feature with Davidovich Fokina on tour over the last year, accompanying him to the Laver Cup in Vancouver and on an off-season vacation to the Maldives.
