German phenom Alexander Zverev has scalped some tennis titans already this year, and with those in hand, he guests on the new cover of an Italian style publication timed to the 2017 French Open. Though he sputtered out in the first round to the dangerous Fernando Verdasco, things are still looking up for the Rome champion.

The daily newspaper Corriere della Sera planted him on its June style insert's cover, and rightly so. Zverev has served notice (and groundstroked it, and volleyed it) this year and last.

Perhaps curiously, this Italian national pub had this to say about Zverev's prime placement:

"... And the rising tennis star seems to be avoiding comparisons with people like [Rafael] Nadal. Who knows, but he certainly makes for a more photogenic cover!"

Zverev might prefer Nadal's career results to date, but the 20-year-old has what it takes to win Grand Slams of his own soon.
