Every week, Baseline will look at the American players that are making waves from the ATP and WTA.

Here are this week's biggest American results:

Semifinalist, Dubai

Brady enjoyed an impressive run in Dubai, beating Garbine Muguruza and Elina Svitolina, on her way from qualifying to the semifinals. Top seed Simona Halep was simply too much for the American, but Brady earned enough ranking points to crack the Top 50 for the first time.

Quarterfinalist, Delray Beach

The 2018 champion was hoping to recapture his crown to jumpstart his 2020 season, but couldn't quite get passed Ugo Humbert in the quarterfinals. He swept aside Emilio Gomez and Tommy Paul, but didn't keep up the level of play against the French player.

Delray Beach will always be a special place for me. Can’t wait to be back at the spot I won my first @atptour title! #DelrayBeachOpen @DelrayBeachOpen pic.twitter.com/WZIM79yQBX — Frances Tiafoe (@FTiafoe) February 12, 2020

Winner, Delray Beach

While Tiafoe fell in the quarterfinals, a different American picked up the mantle and won the title. On Sunday, Opelka defeated Yoshihito Nishioka despite losing the second set in a tiebreak. Earlier that day, the 22-year-old also took down Milos Raonic in the semifinals, saving a match point.

Doubles Winners, Delray Beach

In November, the Bryans announced that that 2020 will be their final season, and at least now they will have one last title. The twins ended their final Delray Beach Open with a record-extending sixth trophy. It's the 20th straight season that the Bryans have one at least one title.

Quarterfinalist, Perth

After winning the ITF W25 tournament in Australia, Muhammad stuck around on the continent to participate in the Perth ITF tournament and make it to the quarterfinals. The 28-year-old American is now back inside of the Top 200 at No. 194.
