NEW YORK—After making history on Saturday with her win over Serena Williams to claim the US Open title, Bianca Andreescu became the most-talked about name in tennis. To celebrate, the 19-year-old took part in a photoshoot at the Top of the Rock (the Rockefeller Center) in Manhattan.

"This wasn't the only time I visualized playing in the finals actually against Serena Williams. It's so crazy, man," she said on Saturday. "I've been dreaming of this moment for the longest time.

"For it to become a reality is just so crazy. I guess these visualizations really, really work."

Andreescu proudly showed off her two trophies from this fortnight, one being the US Open Series Breakout Performer award she was given before her run even began.

Andreescu is the first singles Grand Slam champion from Canada, and the first teen to win a major since Maria Sharapova in 2006.

Her coach Sylvain Bruneau got his own trophy, too.

Andreescu is now officially a household name—though she's not a first-time titlist, having won Indian Wells and Toronto this year. It's crazy to think she was playing ITF $25K's just one year ago, and that she was ranked No. 208 when she lost in the first round of the 2018 US Open qualifying draw.

"I never really thought about being famous," she said. "My goals have been to just win as many Grand Slams as possible, become No. 1 in the world. But the idea of fame never really crossed my mind.

"I'm not complaining, though. It's been a crazy ride this year. I can definitely get used to this feeling."
