The 2021 season may be coming to an end, but that doesn't mean the action off the court is. The International Tennis Hall of Fame Emerging Leaders Council is set to host a very special virtual wine night next month and Tennis Channel Live star Andy Roddick will join in.
Roddick who is in fact a Hall of Famer himself, will sit down for an evening full of delicious wine tasting and conversation. ATP doubles specialist Nick Monroe will host the chat and the CEO of the International Tennis Hall of Fame Todd Martin will serve as the event's Master of Ceremonies.
Roddick is full of interesting facts and expertise in his craft and fans will have the opportunity to not only taste an assortment of naturally produced wines, but also submit questions during the wine tasting.
Voluptuary and Lucid Wines will be supplying the at-home wine tasting kits which consist of: Skin Contact Chardonnay Blend, Urban Flora rosé and a Wanderlust Red Blend. For $100, customers will receive the 4oz. Essential Tasters - three bottle kit. However, there is a $75 option available that includes 2oz. of all three blends.
Fans can also choose to skip the at-home wine portion and simply tune into what is sure to be an entertaining evening and conversation for only $35. A portion of all sales will go directly to benefiting the IHOF, which is a non-profit organization.
Voluptuary and Lucid Wine's owner and wine maker Kevin Luther admitted he doesn't follow tennis, but events like this mean the world to him.
"I started Voluptuary & Lucid Wines to focus on making wine with a strong ethos, and working with non-profits is a huge part of our mission," Luther said. "We do non-profit fundraisers on a weekly basis and have donated a dollar for every bottle and kit sold since our inception, so events like this are close to our heart!
"Other than that, I am looking forward to sharing wine with Andy, he is a legend in his field and I love meeting people whose passion and drive have led them to excel in their endeavors."
The one-of-a-kind event will be held on Wednesday, December 8 and registration ends on November 23.
