You haven't met this Aryna Sabalenka ... until now.

The world No. 1's pop culture footprint is growing: Days after the launch of her new, candid YouTube channel, she's now the star of a glossy new digital spread in *Cosmopolitan* magazine.

The Lauren Balsmo feature story, which includes on- and off-court imagery of Sabalenka photographed by Jonas Unger, introduces her through the lens of the controversy that followed the Roland Garros final–and the writer argues that the ensuing fallout might've been the way that most American audiences got acquainted with her.

But it gives her, according to Balsamo, who is a former youth tennis players, "the reintroduction she deserves, one that’s fitting for the player who’s dominated women’s tennis the past few years."

“I can be pretty tough sometimes, but overall, I think I’m more of a chill person," Sabalenka confesses. "When I compete, I am a tiger—I’m fighting for my dreams out there; there’s no time to be nice.
